Mumbai: The late Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar’s recent Instagram post has raised eyebrows and left tongues wagging.
Even as the unfolding Bollywood drug nexus has created a stir in the industry, Sutapa took to the social media to demand legalization of CBD oil in the country.
No, Sutapa is not promoting substance abuse. She shared a picture of the London hospital where her husband Irrfan was undergoing treatment for cancer and wrote: “London revisit looking at his hospital room from the outside like every time I did while he was there.”
The post was followed by several hashtags such as #walkingalone #wishyouwerethere #cancerpain #LegalizeCBDoilinindia
Her post has a deep message. Cancer treatment is quite painful and CBD oil, which is made from the extraction of cannabis plant, is known for providing relief to cancer patients.
The oil is widely used for medicinal purposes in the West and has several benefits if taken in prescribed dosage.
