Sambalpur: A lawyer Braja Mohan Pradhan was arrested for using fake court order to release a seized vehicle from police station.
As per reports, on February 19 a biker Prem Kumar of Ichhapalli village was killed after his scooter was hit by a truck at Military Square near Basiapada on NH-55 under Jujumura police limits. Police registered a case and seized the truck besides arresting the driver Rajesh Singh.
The lawyer, hired by truck owner, to release the vehicle produced a fake order of Sambalpur SDJM Court. Suspecting it to be fake, Jujumura police officer verified it from the court and got confirmed that it was a forged paper.
The lawyer was arrested and court forwarded under Sections 466 and 420 of IPC and his bail plea was rejected and remanded to Sambalpur Circle Jail.
