Mumbai: Actor Shraddha Kapoor sent fans into a frenzy after a leaked teaser of her upcoming film ‘Eetha’ surfaced online.
In the teaser, Shraddha appears in a striking new avatar as legendary Lavani performer Vithabai, delivering an intense performance that has left viewers impressed.
Social media users have been praising her transformation and screen presence, with many already predicting that the role could earn her a National Award.
Clips from the leaked teaser, which went viral on X, feature nine-month pregnant Vithabai (Shraddha) battling intense pain as she gets ready to perform.
In one of the teaser’s most powerful moments, Vithabai delivers her baby backstage and, moments later, chooses to return to the stage, highlighting her extraordinary commitment to her work.
When warned that dancing could cost her life, Vithabai declares, “Padi padi mari toh bechari kehlaungi, naachte hue mari toh misaal ban jaaungi (If I die while resting, I’ll be remembered as a helpless woman. But if I die dancing, I’ll become a legend).”
As the teaser went viral, fans praised Shraddha’s fiery avatar.

Helmed by Laxman Utekar, ‘Eetha’ revolves around the extraordinary journey of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar from the 1940s to the 1990s, showcasing her rise to popularity and the struggles she faced.
Backed by Maddock Films and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film also features Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in important roles.
The film is slated to hit theatres on August 28.
