LED Lights On All Odisha Streets By May

Bhubaneswar: Streets of all towns in Odisha will be electrified with LED lights, replacing mercury lights by May 2019, informed the state authorities on Monday. A tripartite agreement in this regard was signed recently by the State Urban Development Department for electrification of roads in 113 urban areas. A total of Rs 269.83 crore will be spent on this project. According to sources, 61,079 LED lights will be installed within five months on the streets and major roads.
