Legal Notices To Vijay Deverakonda, Tilak Varma & Mohammed Siraj In TG20 Row

Hyderabad: Actors Vijay Deverakonda, Venkatesh and cricketers Tilak Varma, Ambati Rayudu and Mohammed Siraj have reportedly received legal notices from the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) over their alleged association with TG20.

As per a recent ANI report, the TCA has questioned the authenticity of the proposed TG20 tournament, alleging that it has not received approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The notice further claims that the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has entered into arrangements with corporate entities without the board’s authorisation.

The association stated that any promotion of the TG20 League without BCCI clearance may amount to a violation of cricketing regulations. It has also raised concerns regarding the tournament’s legal and

regulatory status, particularly in light of endorsements by prominent public figures.

So far, neither Vijay nor Venkatesh has issued a public statement regarding the legal notices by the TCA.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Venkatesh is currently busy filming ‘Adarsha Kutumbam’, directed by Trivikram.

Vijay, on the other hand, is occupied with ‘Ranabaali’, a historical action drama helmed by Rahul Sankrityan and scheduled to hit theatres on September 11, 2026.

He is also simultaneously shooting for ‘Rowdy Janardhana’, a rural mass entertainer directed by Ravi Kiran Kola.

On Sunday, Vijay and his wife Rashmika Mandanna launched a scholarship initiative aimed at supporting meritorious students.

At the event, Vijay said, “Giving you this small scholarship gift is very small. But I feel it is important for us. I want to be a part of your lives. Slowly, after my village, I want this move to happen across Telangana. This is my dream. I wanted to celebrate the discipline and focus behind it.”

Sharing the list of students who were selected for the scholarship scheme, Vijay wrote, “We are on our way to Thummanpet. The little village where my Father was born. In February, @iamRashmika and I had announced the beginning of a little dream of ours. To reward all the hardworking students of 9th and 10th grade from Achampet Mandal of Telangana. Here is a list of the 180 kids who made their parents proud.”
