Bhawanipatna: The Chhattisgarh police have arrested two persons of Kalahandi district and seized skins of two leopards from their possession.
As informed by the SP of Gariabandh district Bhojaram Patel, police had the information about the illegal trade of wild animal skins.
Acting on an intelligence tip-off, a team of officials of Deobhog police station raided Dhupkot village on Tuesday night and arrested two persons. They also seized two leopard skins worth Rs 10 lakh from their possession, he said.
The arrested are Ramesh Nayak of Jharabandha village under Junagarh police limits and Keshab Majhi of Nakatikani village under Golamunda police limits of Kalahandi district.
