Bhubaneswar: A day after a page of a diary, which purportedly belonged to software engineer Sweta Utkal Kumari, went viral, some Whatsapp messages surfaced on Friday, shedding more light on the bitterness that had developed in her relationship with boyfriend Soumyajeet Mohapatra.
There is a complaining tone in the messages sent by Sweta, who was found hanging at her rented apartment at Sailashree Vihar, to Soumyajeet’s mother and is probably an explanation from her on claims being made by her boyfriend of having spent a lot of money on her.
She has called him a ‘liar’ and a ‘drama queen’. “Mote micha drama karuchanti ki se mote bht kichi deithile. Sorry aunty bt apananka puo ete micha kahi paranti mun eta jani nathili.”
Sweta has also claimed that he took Rs 12,000 from her to buy a mobile phone. “Apananka puo mobile pain mo thu 12000 neithile.”
She went on to narrate how he spent days in her room without paying rent or electricity bills after quitting his job. “Jadi dauthile tahele rd FD kemti banauthile.”
Calling him an ‘unethical’ treacherous and ungrateful person, Sweta said that she would not like to be in touch with him.
The diary, on the other hand, had revealed the growing bond between them and her fervent prayers to protect their relationship. “Our relationship is getting stronger than before. Soumyajeet has accepted me as his wife. God, please help us solve all our problems. Soumyajeet loves Sweta.” she purportedly wrote.
Prior to this, an audio clip of the “last phone call” purportedly between Sweta and Soumyajeet had also gone viral in which the former was heard pleading with him not to snap the relationship.
Meanwhile, Soumyajeet has approached the Orissa High Court, seeking anticipatory bail. He has been booked under Section 306 (offence of abetment to suicide) of IPC on the basis of the complaint lodged by Sweta’s father.
Sweta’s family has alleged that he had been torturing her mentally, physically and financially to the extent that she was forced to commit suicide. Besides claiming that his parents had demanded Rs 30 lakh for their marriage, her family has demanded the immediate arrest of Soumyajeet.
