Life Science Startup Summit 2024 Begins At ILS Bhubaneswar Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The Life Science Startup Summit – 2024 will begin at BRIC – ILS Bhubaneswar from Friday.

The two-day event is a platform to bring together innovators, startups, investors, and policy makers to collaborate for socio-economic growth through a strong startup economy with emphasis on BioE3.

Secretary of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Prof Rajesh S. Gokhale is visiting DBT-ILS, Bhubaneswar for inauguration of the Life Science Startup Summit.

Principal Secretary of Odisha’s Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Chithra Arumugam is also scheduled to join the event during the inaugural ceremony, sources said.

DBT-ILS has also invited a number of experts for the BioE3 Policy.

It aims to build sustainable development for current and future generations and achieve the target of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The focus areas would be Biomanufacturing in diverse sectors such as Agri-Food, Climate, Health, Bio AI, and Bio Economy, New Business Opportunities, Technology Trends, Disruptive Strategy and Transformation with Startup Ecosystem enablers.

Prof Gokhale is also scheduled to meet Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and other officials to discuss on various projects and Biotech activities in the state.
