Bhubaneswar: The history behind making and decaying of Konark Sun Temple will be showcased through light and sound show beginning next month. A joint initiative of ITDC and Odisha Tourism, the show has been planned to attract more tourists to the historical site.
A trial run of the project was conducted in presence of Culture Minister Ashok Panda and Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty on Wednesday.
According to official sources, the 45-minute show will have Odia, Hindi and English versions for which Bijay Mohnaty, Sekhar Suman and Kabir Bedi have lend their voice respectively. There will be three shows a day and 250 people can be accommodated per show. Visitors can pick Odia, Hindi and English version while buying the ticket and hear the voice-over in the chosen language with the headphone provided to them.
Though the project was sanctioned four years back, it got delayed due to technical reasons, the sources added.
