Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rainfall/thundershower is likely in several districts of the state on Tuesday.
The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), in a midday bulletin, said light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts.
In its temperature forecast, the IMD stated that there will be no major change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 5 days. Maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 2-3 degree Celsius at a few places in interior Odisha.
In the last 24 hours, Malkangiri received 15.8 mm rainfall and Similiguda in Koraput district 8.2 mm.
The maximum day temperature crossed 42 degree Celsius in three towns on Monday while the mercury in 4 other places hovered at 40 degrees and above.
Balangir was the hottest place in the state with 42.6 degree Celsius, followed by Titlagarh with 42.5 and Boudh 42 degree Celsius.
