Nuapada: Two women were killed in lightning strike at Baruamunda village under Komna police limits in Nuapada district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Laxmi Majhi (35) and her sisiter-in-law Bhagabati Majhi (20).
According to villagers, the women were working in an agricultural field when it started drizzling accompanied by lightning. The duo then took shelter under a tree during which they were struck by lightning struck and died on the spot.
