Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre on Friday issued thunderstorm and lightning warning along with rain for 9 districts of Odisha, including the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, in the next three hours.
The Centre, in a Nowcast warning, stated that some parts of the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Cuttack (including the city), Nayagarh, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar) Kalahandi, Malkangiri and Bargarh are also likely to experience gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph along with moderate lightning and rain.
People have been advised to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
