Bhubaneswar: The condition of 21-year-old lion ‘Pichhan’, an inmate of Nandankanan Zoological Park here, deteriorated on Thursday following which it was shifted to the food cell of the lion safari.
According to sources, the lion is suffering from old-age related ailments. It is unable to move and being fed liquid food and vitamins by the zoo staff.
Notably, Pichhan was born on April 24, 1998, and translocated from Junagarh in Gujarat to Nandankanan in Bhubaneswar.
