Berhampur: Salesman of a country liquor shop was found dead at Jagdalpur village under Sadar police limits in Ganjam district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Bijay Dakua, a resident of the village.
Dakua was returning home from the shop, where he was working, at around 11 pm last night when unidentified miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons.
Some locals spotted the body lying in a pool of blood and alerted the police. Multiple injury marks were found on different parts of his body, including throat and back.
However, villagers suspect that Dakua was murdered over past enmity with a group of people who were regular at the liquor shop.
