Liquor Trader Robbed Of Rs 80000 At Gunpoint In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A liquor trader was robbed of Rs 80,000 at Chhatabar Chhak under Bhandaripokhari police limits in Bhadrak district on Wednesday night.

According to sources, the businessman was returning home from his liquor shop when two motorcycle-borne assailants intercepted him and snatched away the bag containing the money at gunpoint.
They also took away his gold chain and mobile phone before fleeing the spot.
The victim later lodged a complaint in this regard at Bhandaripokhari police station.
A police team reached the place where the incident took place and questioned some locals for clues regarding the crime.
In a similar incident, on June 25, two unidentified miscreants looted Rs 1.75 lakh from a businessman near Ghasipura area in Keonjhar district.
The person was returning from Anandpur State Bank of India (SBI) after withdrawing cash for his daughter’s marriage when the incident took place.
