Bhubaneswar: Eminent litterateur, Satrughna Pandab will receive the 39th edition of the prestigious Sarala Puraskar for his poetry work, ‘Misra Dhrupada’ and his overall literary achievement for the year 2018.
The renowned writer will receive a cash award of Rs 5 lakh along with a citation, a release from Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMaPCT) said.
Besides, Umesh Chandra Kar will be awarded the ‘Ila Panda Memorial Music Samman’ and Binod Maharana will receive ‘Ila Panda Memorial Art Samman’. They will receive a cash award of Rs 1.5 lakh each along with citations.
They will be awarded at a special function on October 26.
Instituted in 1979 by IMPaCT, a charitable wing of leading ferro alloys producer IMFA Group, Sarala Award is recognised as one of the foremost literary awards of Odisha.
