Litterateur Trilochan Pradhan Dies In Road Mishap In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: In an unfortunate incident, well-known Odia litterateur Trilochan Pradhan died in a road mishap in the district on Wednesday.

The mishap took place when Pradhan was hit by a speeding car near Khamar College under Pallahada police station. The septuagenarian litterateur was going on a bi-cycle to meet the principal of the college to discuss a literary meet on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.

Following the accident, Pradhan was rushed to district headquarters hospital by the locals. But he succumbed while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Pradhan was a retired teacher and president of Jagatjanani Sahitya Sansad of the district. A poet of repute, he was recently in news for his book ‘Kargil Veer”.

Eminent persons including litterateurs, academicians and political leaders have condoled Pradhan’s death.
