Bhubaneswar: There was little change in new COVID cases in the capital city where 334 patients were registered in the last 24 hours compared to 335 cases on Friday and 255 cases on Thursday.
The new cases registered during the period included 86 from quarantine and 248 local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated in a tweet.
Of the local contacts, maximum 18 cases were reported from Nayapalli, followed by 16 from Dumduma, 15 from Patia, and 10 from Sundarpada.
As many as 229 patients recovered from the disease while the number of the deceased went up to 896.
The city now has 2,806 active cases and total positive cases have gone up to 1,01,797, the BMC stated.
