Balasore: A one-year-old girl died after falling into a tube-well hole at Salagadia village of Baunsagadi panchayat under Khaira police limits in Balasore district on Thursday.
As per sources, the child is the daughter of Sarojini, daughter of Sanya Nayiki. Sanya and her daughter had been to her sister’s house at Goapal village where the mishap occurred.
Sanya said digging of bore well was underway near the house and Sarojini was playing nearby when she fell into the well accidentally.
Some people o the spot who notice her slipping into the bore well, informed family and rescued her from the well.
The child was rushed to Khaira hospital, where she was declared dead.
A complaint has been filed at Khaira police station and investigation is on.
