LLC: Konark Suryas Odisha Look To Seal Playoff Berth As They Face Winless Toyam Hyderabad

Jammu: Konark Suryas Odisha (KSO) will look to seal a berth in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024 playoffs when they face Toyam Hyderabad at Jammu’s Maulana Azad Stadium on Sunday.

Konark Suryas will be high on confidence after having posted a thrilling 2-run win over India Capitals at the same venue two days ago. The fact that the Hyderabad team has lost three of its four games (one abandoned) so far and occupy last place will further put Irfan Khan’s men in a positive frame of mind.

Currently tied on 6 points with Manipal Tigers — who beat Gujarat Giants on Saturday – Konark Suryas Odisha will not only look for full points, they will also try to improve net run-rate which could be decisive in the end.

The top two teams in league stage will face off in the Qualifier, with the winners advancing to the final. The losers will get another crack at the final, as they will meet the winners of the No. 3 vs No. 4 teams clash.

While bowling has been a major concern for Suresh Raina-led Toyam Hyderabad, Konark Suryas Odisha have been clinical in all departments.

Despite two of their matches being abandoned without a ball bowled in Surat, KSO have impressed with their all-round performance in their first season.
