Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has declared a local holiday in three coastal districts on account of Manabasa Gurubara Puja on Thursday.
The office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) notified that all government offices in Cuttack, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur districts will remain closed on December 24.
Since all government offices in the three districts were open on Prathamastami due to Bharat Bandh on December 8, the state government has announced the Manabasa Gurubara as a local holiday, the notification added.
