Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for a slew of projects in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of the Local Self Government Day on Saturday.
The CM will inaugurate the new office building in each of the 67 wards of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Besides, he will lay the foundation stone for 40 micro composting centres in the city for proper management of waste disposal. The estimated cost of each centre is Rs 32 crore.
The CM will also lay the foundation stones of 11 drains for proper discharge of rainwater in the city and more than 20 developmental projects.
Municipal corporations, municipalities and Notified Area Councils (NACs) across the state are also scheduled to hold various programs to celebrate Local Self Government Day.
