Bhubaneswar: On the advice of the state finance department, the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) has decided to keep banks in the state open from 8 am to 2 pm during the lockdown period.
The time for servicing the customers would be between 8 am and 1 pm during which the customers can avail services like cash deposit/withdrawals, RTGS/NEFT, clearing of cheques and other basic services.
Moreover, the bank branches will provide financial support to the farmers for taking up agriculture activities. The banks have also been directed to provide emergency funding support to SHG beneficiaries, PMJDY beneficiaries, and the MSME sector.
