New Delhi: The Central Government has clarified that there is yet no decision on the resumption of domestic or passenger flights, according to a release by the Information & Broadcasting ministry on Sunday.
The government clarification came a day after state-run Air India reopened bookings for select domestic flights from May 4 onwards. It had also said that tickets for international flights can be booked from June 1.
Previously, the airline had stopped taking bookings for flights from April 3. The national carrier has been operating its cargo fleet carrying essential commodities throughout the country.
The nationwide lockdown imposed on March 25 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will end on May 3.
