Lockdown 2.0: Various Online Competitions Being Held Across The State To Engage Denizens During Lockdown

Bhubaneswar: With lockdown 2.0 to remain till May 3, 2020, several government and private organizations have come up with various online competitions to keep people occupied at home during this period.

The various online competitions are as follows;

1, DITSA is conducting an online drawing competition with the Theme ‘India Fights Corona’. Participants can use colours and painting material which they already have and any size of drawing sheet. Participants need to write their name on the right hand corner of the sheet and send a clear picture/scan of the painting to ditsa.ngo@gmail.com. There is no age limit to participate in this competition.

Entries should be submitted to DITSA by 5 pm on April 25, 2020.

The winners will be announced at 11 am on May 2, 2020.

2. The Regional Museum Of Natural History, Bhubaneswar, is organizing an online competition titled ‘Creativity In Quarantine’. Participants can write stories, articles, poetry and create campus checklist in word file format. Participants can also create small documentaries and record NH observations in Video file format. Participants can also make photo collages and posters in JPEG format.

Participants need to submit their creative work to rmnhbbsredu@gmail.com by May 31, 2020.

3. JCI Bhubaneswar is conducting a series of online competitions for all age groups during the lockdown period. The competitions include fancy dress, poem recitation and dance.

The details of the competitions are given below:

A) Online Fancy Dress Competition- Participants need to make a video of 2 minutes and send it to the whatsapp number 8762555292 or mail it to bhubaneswarjci@gmail.com. The competition is open for all. The deadline for submitting the videos 9 pm on April 25, 2020.

B) Online ‘Poem Recitation Competition’- Participants need to make a video of 2 minutes and send it to the whatsapp number 8762555292 or mail it to bhubaneswarjci@gmail.com. The competition is open for all. Videos have to be submitted by 9 pm on April 25, 2020.

C) Online Dance Competition — Participants need to make a video of 2 minutes and send it to the whatsapp number 8762555292 or mail it to bhubaneswarjci@gmail.com. The competition is open for all. Deadline for submitting the videos is 9 pm on April 25, 2020.

4. Odisha Bytes and Odisha Sambad are conducting an online cooking competition titled ‘Lockdown Recipes’. Participants can mail their culinary videos and pictures to contentobos@gmail.comor upload it on Instagram along with hashtag #OdishaBytesLockdownRecipes, #OdishaSambadLockdownRecipes. The last date for submitting the entries is April 30, 2020.
