Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to allow buses to ply in the districts that have been declared as green zone, Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera informed on Tuesday.
Briefing the media, he said that a proposal to this effect has been approved by the Chief Minister.
Behera said passengers have to pay double the fare as these buses will ply with 50 per cent capacity in accordance with the lockdown guidelines. This will compensate for the loss of the bus owners. Passenger having urgent works will not hesitate to pay the revised fare, he said.
“We will inform the bus owners about the proposal and take a decision in a couple of days after receiving their feedback,” the minister added.
