New Delhi: After Ministry of Home Affairs allowed some relaxations during lockdown 3.0, liquor shops across the country opened on Monday.
Throwing caution to winds, people queued up at 150 liquor shops in Delhi from 7.30 am but without wearing masks. Social distancing norms too were flouted.
Following which, police were forced to shut down a liquor shop at Jheel Chowk, Delhi due to overcrowding. They also had to resort to lathicharge outside a liquor shop at Kashmere Gate, where people refused to abide by the social distancing norms.
Several states across the country, including Karnataka and Maharashtra witnessed similar situation.
