Bengaluru: A BJP MLA from Karnataka has flouted the lockdown norms by celebrating his birthday with hundreds of villagers.
According to reports, the MLA, M Jayaram from Turuvekere, cut a cake in presence of villagers and then distributed it among the attendees at Gubbi Taluk in Tumkur. The cake cutting was followed by a community feast of biryani.
This comes as a shock when social distancing measures are being strictly implemented across the country.
In Odisha alone, more than 2,700 people have been booked for violating lockdown measures.
