Bhadrak: To contain the spread of COVID-19, the Bhadrak district administration on Wednesday declared a nine-day lockdown in five more blocks and two civic bodies.
Bhadrak collector Gyana Ranjan Das told mediapersons that five blocks — Chandbali, Tihidi, Basudevpur, Bant and Bhandaripokhari — as well as Basudevpur Municipality and Chanbali NAC will remain under lockdown from 2 pm on July 23 to 2 pm till July 31.
He said vegetable and grocery shops, milk booths and medicine outlets, health facilities and ambulance services will be open. All other trading and business establishments, government and private offices will remain closed.
Except for transport of essential goods, no other public and private vehicles will be allowed to ply during the lockdown period.
