Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Saturday requested students to utilize the “holidays” due to the countrywide lockdown for studying at home.
Appealing to the students to concentrate on studies, Dash said, “In view of the coronavirus scare, please stay at home and be in touch with your studies.”
The education minister also informed the students that the textbooks of Class I to VIII will be handed over to them by the S&ME department once the situation in the country becomes normal.
Speaking about class IX’s withheld test paper, the minister said, “The department is considering conducting the examination of remaining one paper after the COVID-19 scare is over.”
Dash also stated that the mid-day meal has been provided to the students for three months and the MDM programme will begin from June 15.
