Lockdown Woes: 14 Migrant Workers Run Over By Goods Train In Maharashtra

Aurangabad: At least 14 migrant workers were killed and five injured when an empty rake of goods wagon ran over them near Gadhejalgaon village in Aurangabad district on Friday.

According to media reports, the accident took place around 5.15 am when the 19 workers were sleeping on the tracks exhausted while walking back home to Bhusawal from Jalna, where they worked in a steel plant.

The injured have been admitted to Aurangabad civil hospital.

On being informed, Aurangabad rural superintendent of police Mokshada Patil, Railway Protection Force teams from Aurangabad and police teams from Karmad police station rushed to the spot.

RPF personnel have also reached the spot to asses the situation, the reports added.
