New Delhi: In revised guidelines issued post Lockdown 2.0, the Union Home Ministry has spelt out activities which can or can’t be done till May 3.
No unchecked movement of people, except for those maintaining essential services like medical emergencies and care, law and order duties, and government business will be permitted in the COVID-19 hotspot containment zones.
In the 170 districts identified by Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as hotspots, containment zones will be demarcated by states/UTs/district administrations as per the guidelines of the ministry.
In these containment zones, the newly permitted activities in Lockdown 2.0 won’t be permitted.
“There will be strict perimeter control in the area of containment zones to ensure that there is no unchecked inward/outward movement of population in these zones except for maintaining essential services (including medical emergencies and law and order related duties) and government business continuity,” the guidelines state.
The fresh MHA guidelines came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of lockdown till May 3.
