Prayagraj: About 1,049 elderly, who are above the age of 100, will vote at the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj.
Many of them have been voting since the first General Elections after independence and have also been politically active since British times, Times of India reported.
According to the voters list prepared by district election officials, there are 46,64,519 voters in Prayagraj. Of them, 414 men and 440 women are in the age group of 100 to 109 years.
Likewise, there are three men and 10 women voters in the age of 110 to 119 years and 44 men and 38 women aged 120 years.
UP will go to polls in seven phases and people of Prayagraj will get to vote on May 25 in the sixth phase.
