Bhubanewswar: The Commissionerate Police has gathered some important information during investigation into the death of taxi driver Bidyadhar Sahu in Bhubaneswar and may issue a lookout circular against a woman, allegedly involved in a job fraud racket.

Sources said job fraud accused, identified as Jyotsna Khuntia, allegedly ran a massive racket involving the collection of crores of rupees from people on the pretext of providing employment.

As per information, the Commissionerate Police is likely to issue a lookout circular against the woman while her bank accounts have already been frozen as part of the investigation.

It is alleged that Jyotsna duped people in different parts of the state by promising them jobs in government as well as private sector.

The woman reportedly stayed in Badagada area of Bhubaneswar and had opened a consultancy office in the Baramunda area of the city from where she allegedly ran her fake recruitment operations. Victims claim that they paid huge money in the hope of securing employment but were  cheated.

It is alleged that the cheated aspirants abducted taxi driver Bidyadhar Sahu, who later took his life by suicide. On September 20, his body was recovered from Chandaka area. Initially suspected to be a murder, the investigation revealed the broader job fraud connection.

Police sources said intelligence teams have been deployed to trace Khuntia, and raids are being carried out at various locations.

Bidyadhar was found dead near his car on Chandaka–Barang road in Bhubaneswar. Investigation revealed that he had taken his own life after being abducted. Five accused involved in his abduction have been arrested and forwarded to court, while police continue to trace others.
