Keonjhar: Now, it’s official! The 72-ft high chariot of Lord Baladevjew in Keonjhar is the tallest in the world.
The Global Records and Research Foundation (GRRF) has recognised this claim, which paves way for the chariot to be included in the Guinness World Records, sources said.
The global agency has intimated its approval to the district administration.
The official announcement was made after a special team of GRRF visited the Baladevjew temple in Keonjhar recently for inspection. “They took the related documents and reviewed it. After verifying them, Lord Baladevjew chariot was recognised as the tallest in three records including GRRF, Asia Pacific and Indian National Records,” informed Executive officer of Endowment Department, Somnath Pradhan.
The certificate will be issued later, she added.
