Washington: Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was nominated by President Joe Biden as the US ambassador to India.
After the Senate’s confirmation, 50-year-old Garcetti would come in place of Kenneth Juster. Juster served as India’s ambassador during the Donald Trump administration.
Earlier in the week, Juster was appointed as a distinguished fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
