Bhawanipatna: A month after the recovery of a half-burnt body of a youth near a railway station godown in Kesinga in Kalahandi district, police on Wednesday arrested two accused and forwarded them to the court.
The accused have been identified as Trilochan Sahu and Surendra Sahu.
According to police, the two accused had a long-standing enmity with their friend Seshadeb Kampa of Regada village in Karlamunda block under Mangalpur Rampur police limits over a love affair.
To eliminate him, the duo called him to Musaghati near Kasinga railway station on the evening of March 11. As soon as he arrived, they attacked him with sharp weapons and later ran a JCB over him. They later carried the body to Kesinga and set it on fire.
As Seshadeb did not return, his younger brother lodged a complaint at the Mangalpur Rampur police station. Acting on the complaint, police began the investigation and recovered the half-burnt body of Seshadeb on March 15.
