Rourkela: Love affair with landlord’s daughter turned dangerous for youth after the later succumbed to the conspiracy of the landlord’s family. The incident has happened in Binod Singh’s house in Rourkela’s Gopapali area under Plant site police station limits.
The identity of the deceased is known to be Srinivas Rao.
The Police has arrested six accused involved in the incident namely- Siba Soni, Chandan soni, Vishal Rathore, Ajay Saha, Raj Singh and Vinod Singh while absconding Tuni Jena is yet to be arrested.
A senior police official has said that, the love affair between Srinivas and Binod’s daughter grew some time ago and during the period Srinivas gifted a mobile phone to her which infuriated the family members of Binod.
According to the police, Srinivas was abducted by Binod and his associates in a car and brought to his home. Following the abduction, he was tortured and beaten by the accused with baseball bats and iron rods which led to his head injury.
To evade the police charge, the accused dumped Srinivas’s body on a go0ds train coming from Paradeep to Rayagada. The police has seized the incriminating objects used in the death of Srinivas.
In a police complaint, the family members of Srinivas Rao have stated that he was killed in a conspiracy by Binod Singh.
The police has said that, the arrested individuals along with Tuni Jena would be forwarded to court very soon.
