Sambalpur: A ‘love letter’ addressed to Maa Samaleswari was found in the donation box of the temple here.
As per tradition, devotees drop both money and letters in the donation box in the belief that the deity will answer their prayers. These letters are recovered and read in front of the deity.
However, this was the first time that a love letter was dropped in the donation box. A girl has written the letter. In it, she prayed that no misunderstanding should crop up between her and her boyfriend. She also sought the goddess’s blessing so that their marriage is conducted smoothly.
