Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area is likely to form over north-west and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and Odisha coast in the next 48 hours.
Informing this in a special bulletin, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre on Wednesday said a cyclonic circulation lies over west-central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts. It extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards.
Under the influence of the system, a low pressure area is likely to form over northwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast in next 48 hours.
The Met centre has issued an orange warning and forecast that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Puri, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam districts in next 24 hours.
