Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal and it is likely to concentrate into a depression over central parts of South Bay of Bengal around November 19, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Thursday.
While the MeT office has forecast dry weather with shallow to moderate fog at a few places in Odisha, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput are likely to experience light to moderate rain on November 21 with little change in the weather for the next couple of days.
Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Rayagada till 8.30 am on November 19. “The minimum temperature will remain 2-3 degree below normal during the next 2-3 days and witness a slight increase by 2 degrees thereafter,” it said.
The night temperature in Bhubaneswar would hover around 17 degree Celsius in the next 24 hours, it added.
