Bhubaneswar: With a low-pressure area brewing over Bay of Bengal, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IM) on Tuesday issued yellow warning for 14 districts of Odisha, including state capital Bhubaneswar, till 4.15 pm.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower may affect some parts of Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Puri, Jajpur, Balasore, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Angul, Dhankanal, Ganjam and Mayurbhanj districts in 3 hours.
People have advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places.
Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Central Bay of Bengal, a low-pressure area is likely to form over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood during the next 24 hours, the IMD said in its morning bulletin.
