A Holi gift from the government – LPG cooking gas prices will be reduced by Rs 53 per cylinder.
This is the first reduction in the last six months during which the prices increased by around 50 per cent.
Each household is eligible for 12 cylinders at subsidised rates. Additional cylinders are purchased at market price.
Low oil and gas prices globally could lower LPG prices further, reports indicate.
