Lt Gen Nanda Kishore Sahoo, The First Odia Officer To Be Appointed DG Dental Services

Bhubaneswar: Lieutenant General Nanda Kishore Sahoo, VSM has assumed charge as Director General Dental Services and Colonel Commandant of Army Dental Corps. He is the first Odia officer to hold this post.

His earlier appointments include Command of a unit in Kashmir Valley, Command Advisor of Western, Central, and Southern Commands.

An alumnus of King George’s Medical University, he did his postgraduation from Mumbai University in the Specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also served as Professor & Head of the Dental Department at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and at the Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi.

Sahoo is an internationally acclaimed author, teacher, and winner of the KS Master silver medal. He has been conferred with five Commendations and the Presidential Award, Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM).
