LTT Express Mishap: Odisha Minister Blames Railway Authorities

Cuttack: Senior BJD leader and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena on Thursday blamed the East Coast Railway (ECoR) authorities for the derailment of Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Express near Salagaon railway station in Cuttack district on Thursday morning.

Briefing mediapersons after interacting with the injured passengers at SCB Medical College and Hospital here, Jena said that the mishap took place due to the lack of maintenance of tracks by the  ECoR authorities.

“The ECoR authorities should be squarely blamed for the mishap. If they have said that the mishap occurred due to the dense fog, why did they not take up alternative measures?” Jena asked.
