New Delhi: Kinetic is likely to bring back the Luna brand in an electric avatar.
It could be back with a 1 kW motor and lithium battery offering a range of 70-80 km. The top speed is likely to be limited to 25 kmph so that license and registration are not required, Financial Express reported.
While the styling is expected to be based on the original Luna, it could get new features such as USB charging and LED daytime running lights like other modern electric two-wheelers.
The original “Chal mere Luna” was a 50cc petrol moped with pedals.
Kinetic Group subsidiary Kinetic Green is reportedly looking at launching electric rickshaws and electric cycles.
