Bhubaneswar: The LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad have become the first healthcare institutes in Odisha and Telangana respectively, to be empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
According to LVPEI official website, an MoU was signed between Founder-Chair, LVPEI, Dr Gullapalli N Rao and General Manager, Hospital Networking and Quality Assurance, Dr Jitu Lal Meena on March 6 to formalise the partnership.
The LVPEI is also set to apply for bronze standard of accreditation for its secondary centres in Telangana and Odisha to help poor patients visiting these centres from the neighbouring states, said a report published in telenganatoday.com.
The poor patients of Odisha and Telangana are already getting these benefits at LVPEI under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna and Arogyasri, the health coverage schemes, of the respective state governments.
