Bhubaneswar: Mohes Kumar Behera, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), has assumed office of the Additional General Manager (AGM) of East Coast Railway (ECoR).
Prior to this, he was working as Chief Planning and Design Engineer of ECoR at Bhubaneswar.
Behera graduated from the erstwhile University College of Engineering, Burla, in Civil Engineering and did MTech in Ocean Engineering from IIT, Madras. He joined Indian Railways in 1991. He worked in various capacities – Chief Bridge Engineer, Chief Engineer (Bridge Rehabilitation) in ECoR; Group General Manager of Rites at Bhubaneswar, Chief Engineer (Construction) of Ganga Bridge under East Central Railway at Patna and Munger and many other crucial posts, including Senior Divisional Engineer (Co-Ordination), Sambalpur, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer in ECoR and Deputy Chief Engineer (con) in Northeast Frontier Railway, an ECoR release said.
