New Delhi: Shaheen Shahid, the 43-year-old lady doctor arrested after the bust of the Faridabad white collar terror module, was the mastermind behind the November 10 Delhi car blast, investigators have come to know.

Over the last few days, they have pieces together clues that narrate a complex cross-border terror plot, the planning for which began years ago.

Shaheen, known within the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) inner circle as ‘Madam Surgeon’, has emerged as the central figure of this terrifying blueprint. Not only did she mastermind the Delhi car blast, Shaheen had conspired to launch coordinated terror attacks in six different cities.

Evidence recovered by agencies following her arrest has exposed the entire module’s core. This evidence includes handwritten diaries, funding ledgers, recruitment notes, target maps, and secure communication codes.

According to investigators, the documents explicitly mention the chilling “D-6 Mission: December 6,” which was allegedly framed as revenge for the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition.

Shaheen, who colleagues had once described as a soft-spoken, reserved doctor, is reported to have been a crucial part of the JeM since 2021. Her primary responsibilities included planning, logistics, and funding.

The module allegedly received hawala funding amounting to approximately Rs 20 lakh through a JeM handler. This money was utilized for recruitment, safe houses, secure communication devices, travel, and disguises. Intelligence agencies are scrutinizing every transaction in Shaheen’s seven bank accounts (3 in Kanpur, 2 in Lucknow, and 2 in Delhi), suspecting high-value NEFT/RTGS transfers, cash withdrawals, undisclosed deposits, and foreign inflows.

Investigators have said that Shaheen’s history is shrouded in mystery. Her ideology is said to have abruptly changed after 2010, followed by frequent foreign trips. In 2013, she suddenly took a leave of absence and never returned. In 2016, university staff discovered the address she provided was fake, leading to her formal dismissal in 2021.

Interrogation has revealed that the entire module traveled to Turkey in March 2022, where they met with the ISI handler, Abu Ukasha. It was here that they allegedly received the final green light to commence the December 6 mission.

Her ideological shift apparently began in 2010 she came in touch with an Indian-origin foreign doctor, leading to active involvement in the JeM network by 2015-16.
