Bhopal: In a shocking incident, a woman in Madhya Pradesh was allegedly assaulted by her husband and in-laws in the most inhuman manner. They allegedly burned her private parts with a hot iron rod and applied chilli powder on it, reports quoting police stated.
The in-laws tortured the woman on December 13, blaming her after they witnessed another man misbehaving with her at their home in Rajgarh, the India Today reported. A case has been registered against her in-laws and the alleged molester.
According to the complaint, the woman’s husband, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, and father-in-law tortured her for about two hours. It has been further alleged that she was kept naked while being subjected to the physical torture. She was kicked and punched as well, reports claimed.
The complaint stated that her mother-in-law allegedly burned the private parts, thighs, and other portions of her body with the hot iron rod. The father-in-law allegedly rubbed the applied chilli powder on her private parts.
On the next day of torture, the husband and father-in-law reportedly took the victim on a bike and dumped her near a police station. The woman managed to reach her parental home and her parents filed the police complaint later.
According to the complaint, a man identified as Rohit Ruhela came asking for a steam machine to the woman’s house. When the victim told him to wait near the gate, he allegedly disobeyed her and entered her room. The accused allegedly attempted to molest her.
But her sister-in-law entered the room, and the accused managed to flee from the spot.
“Blaming me, the sister-in-law called my father-in-law and mother-in-law. All three of them stripped me naked on the cold night and beat me with kicks, punches, and sticks. I became unconscious,” the victim’s complaint stated, according to India Today.
“The next morning, they beat me again. While stripping me naked, my father-in-law applied chilli powder to my private parts with his hand, and my mother-in-law burned multiple areas, including my thighs, with a hot iron rod,” she added.
